This is a concluding reminder to provide subscription keys in all Reckon One API calls.

Subscription keys are unique and assigned to each developer for every Reckon API product (Reckon One API / Reckon Accounts Hosted API) they are subscribed to.

A 90-day notice to use Subscription Keys on Reckon One API calls was sent to all listed partners on the 24th of October 2022 regarding the decision to end the grace period for non-compliance on the 23rd of January 2023.

However, due to the Christmas period and to accommodate businesses that needed more time, we have facilitated to extend the due date until the 28th of February 2023. There will be no further extension and the use of a subscription key will be mandatory for all Reckon One API calls.

Any requests that do not include a subscription key will be rejected and an error returned:

  • Response Status: 401 Unauthorized
  • Response Body: “Access denied due to missing subscription key. Make sure to include subscription key when making requests to an API.”

For further information:

We look forward to your cooperation in facilitating this transition as we strive to improve our API service for all Developer Partners.

Kind regards,

Reckon API Team
